By creating an account, submitting a paper, or otherwise using deScier (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Author ownership

You retain 100% copyright in any work you submit. By submitting, you grant deScier a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and link to your work as part of the Platform and its published journals (The DeSci Journal and the TCC Journal). You may withdraw this license for any unpublished submission at any time.

3. Originality & rights

You warrant that submitted work is your own, that you have the right to publish it, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or contain defamatory, unlawful, or fraudulent content. You are responsible for obtaining any required permissions for third-party material included in your submission.

4. Peer review & editorial decisions

Submissions undergo editorial screening and peer review. The editorial team reserves the right to accept, request revisions, or reject any submission. Decisions are made on scientific and ethical merit.

5. Permanence & blockchain records

Once a paper is accepted and published, a record may be written to decentralized storage and/or a public ledger. These records are designed to be permanent and may not be reversible. You agree to publication on this basis.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload malware, scrape the Platform abusively, impersonate others, attempt to bypass access controls, or use the Platform to publish content that is unlawful, harassing, or violates research ethics standards.

7. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Scientific content reflects the views of its authors and not of deScier. To the maximum extent permitted by law, deScier disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
