Dressed for Attention?: Investigating the Link Between Outfits and Catcalling Incidents
This study investigated whether women are catcalled more frequently when wearing a conservative outfit. Six female participants recorded 25 hours of walking data in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We found that the converse is true: catcalling is more frequent when wearing a revealing outfit, particularly when showing more skin and when the top is more revealing. The results imply that women can affect how much catcalling attention they receive by selecting a more conservative or revealing outfit.
Capacitive Engine: The Power of Asymmetry
The Capacitive Engine (Patent US 11,101,744 B2) is an innovative asymmetrical capacitor designed for efficient electrostatic force generation. It operates when a voltage differential is applied across its two metal-semiconductor p-n junctions, creating a thrusting force parallel to its asymmetrical plane. The resulting electrostatic force arises from the non-zero difference in surface areas between the electronic capacitor's inner and outer radial regions. The Capacitive Engine holds promise for load-bearing applications.
Boom-Boogers Development: TREAH Character Creation
Embarking on a multidimensional journey, this project began crafting characters for the animated series "Boom Boogers." Rooted in Chaos Theory, the initial character 'Earth' evolved into 'TREAH,' a refined persona. The project expanded into the Boom Boogers online blockchain game, an Economy Ecosystem within the emerging business model of Blockchain Games. The introduction of Elemental Boom (BBG), a game token crystallizing elemental energy, offers players financial opportunities during leisure time within an open economy.
